RTA – CESSNA 0-1 BIRD DOG MAP deliveries to Thailand, probably including Air Force (54) and Navy (at least 5) total 233, and are recorded as:- 1957 – 73 O-1E 1967 – 32 O-1E 1968 – 4 O-1A & 10 O-1E 1969 – 7 O-1E 1970 – 13 O-1A 1971 – 16 O-1G 1972 – 15 O-1A, 6 O-1D & 7 O-1E 1973 – 1 O-1A 1974 - none 1975 – 27 O-1A 1976 – 3 O-1D, 4 O-1E & 15 O-1G Elsewhere deliveries to the Army are reported from 1956, with 6 delivered 1956 plus 12 in 1967. At least 37 known to have come from the JGSDF (Japanese Army). A total of 141 airframes are listed below. 45 active Apr-99, but type withdrawn by 2001. Many of those noted below at Lopburi over the 1995-2002 period may not have been operated by the Army (some seen with US and Korean marks), but may have been acquired for spares use. The following has been assembled from personal observations and research, together with reference to many unofficial Royal Thai Air Force sources, Air Britain publications, etc, with much additional data from Tom Milliken, Minard Thompson and his book ‘The Lovable One-Niner’.
