RTAF – RFB FANTRAINER

31 Fantrainer 400 & 16 Fantrainer 600 ordered plus 16 Fantrainer 600 options. One 400 & one 600 delivered complete Dec-84 and the remainder in kit form for local assembly; planned to produce 7 in 1984, 22 in 1985 & 18 in 1986, but apparently only 11 Fantrainer 400 and 15 Fantrainer 600 actually built; type withdrawn 1994.

In addition to those below, noted in store Jan-00 were Fantrainer 600’s codes ‘40212’ & ‘40219’. Other codes noted have been ‘6001’, ‘6002’ (Aug-87), ‘6003’, ‘6005’, ‘6008’, ‘6010’ & ‘6013’. Also ‘603’, ‘606’, ‘608’, ‘610’, ‘613’, ‘808’ & ‘810’

The following has been assembled from personal observations and research, together with reference to many unofficial Royal Thai Air Force sources, Air Britain publications, Aviation Letter etc. Thanks are however particularly due to Peter Gerhardt, Cheryl Baumgartner & Dick Lohuis
